Results November 2014

The IV International Fair "Education in Russia. Study Abroad" ended. It was held in Kazan on 14-15th of November 2014.

Popularity and attractiveness of the Republic of Tatarstan and especially its capital as a venue for the large exhibitions, both Russians and International ones, is growing every year. Therefore, exponent companies always respond with great pleasure to the invitation to participate in the exhibitions held in Kazan.

The past event was no exception, the amount of the participants was respectable: Kazan was attended by representatives from more than 30 leading universities, colleges, schools and language centers. Azerbaijan, Germany, UK, Ireland, Czech Republic, Malta, Switzerland, Canada, USA, Spain, Cyprus - wideness of the participants is impressive as well as the quality of the organizations. So, the representative of the famous Czech Charles University decided to tell the residents of the Tatarstan about the University as it is a symbol of the European education of the highest class.

Geography of participants


The opening ceremony was attended by many officials. Among them there was Guillaume Levigueloux, the Scholarship Program Coordinator of the French Embassy in Moscow.


The event of this level could not go unnoticed: in two days the Fair was attended by over 1,000 people; there were students and their parents, young professionals, the heads of the International departments of the Russian universities. It can be considered as an excellent result because the number of people interested in education abroad increased, despite of the difficult international economic and political realities.


The large number of visitors was due to the rich and interesting business program. Great interest and a lively discussion aroused by Ksenia Ivanenko, coordinator of the Federal program "Global Education". Speaker of the Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo" in detail told the audience about what steps should take young Russian bachelors and specialists to join the program, which allows to receive financing from the State to study abroad.


Another actual topic in the sphere of the business programs was the export of the educational services. "OPTIMA STUDY" Group of Companies General Director Pavel Antipov spoke about what strategy should adhere the Russian universities to attract foreign students. The representative of an International company ICEF Renata Tylaeva informed the exhibitors about the conferences that unite educational institutions and professional agencies of the academic mobility.

A distinctive feature of the Fair was its open format. Organizers of the event were an International educational center "OPTIMA STUDY" and Exhibition Company "OPTIMA EXPO"; they gave the opportunity to participate in the exhibition not only to the permanent foreign partners, but also to other companies, including Russian and foreign agencies providing consulting services in the field of the education.

All participants and visitors of the Fair highlighted a comfortable working environment and relaxed atmosphere of the communication. All this contributed to the achievement of the key objectives of the event to inform people about the educational services of the foreign universities, partnership between Russian and foreign educational institutions.

The exhibition organizers are grateful for assistance in event organization to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, Association of Russian Educational Advisors (AREA), the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Association of Small and Medium Business of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Next year a new educational Fair will be held in Kazan, it must be interesting and certainly useful. Industry professionals are welcomed to participate!
